The Journal of Science and Education (JSE) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the principles and best practice guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) (https://publicationethics.org/).

JSE is dedicated to safeguarding the integrity of the scholarly record and ensuring transparency, fairness, and responsibility throughout the research and publication process. The Journal expects authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial board members to adhere to the following ethical principles.

1. Research Integrity

Academic Integrity

All manuscripts submitted to JSE must demonstrate scientific rigor, honesty, and integrity. Research findings must be reported accurately and objectively. Data fabrication, falsification, manipulation, or misrepresentation of research results for personal or institutional purposes is strictly prohibited.

Originality and Plagiarism

Submitted manuscripts must represent original work. Any use of ideas, data, text, figures, or materials from other sources must be properly acknowledged and cited. The Journal uses plagiarism detection tools to identify and prevent plagiarism and other forms of academic misconduct.

Duplicate or Redundant Publication

JSE does not accept manuscripts that have been previously published or are simultaneously submitted to or under consideration by another journal.

2. Authorship and Contributorship

Authorship Criteria

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, data analysis, or interpretation of the research, and who have participated in drafting or critically revising the manuscript.

All listed authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work. Individuals who have contributed to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship should be appropriately acknowledged.

Changes in Authorship

Any request for adding, removing, or changing the order of authors after manuscript submission must be approved by all authors and accompanied by appropriate justification. The Journal will consider authorship changes in accordance with internationally accepted publication ethics standards.

3. Transparency in Research and Publication

Conflicts of Interest

Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest, including financial, academic, professional, or personal relationships that may influence the research, review, or publication process.

Funding Disclosure

Authors must clearly disclose all sources of financial support for their research. The role of funding organizations in the study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and publication process should be transparently reported.

Social Responsibility

JSE encourages research that contributes positively to scientific development and societal advancement. Published works should not contain content that may cause harm to individuals, communities, or society.

4. Fair and Objective Peer Review

Double-Blind Peer Review

JSE applies a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential to ensure fairness, impartiality, and objectivity.

Evaluation Criteria

Manuscripts are evaluated based on scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, relevance, practical significance, and reliability of the reported data.

Editorial Decisions

Editorial decisions are made objectively and transparently based on reviewers' comments, academic quality, and the Journal's editorial policies. Editors may accept, request revisions, or reject manuscripts based on the results of the evaluation process.

5. Intellectual Property and Data Protection

Intellectual Property Rights

JSE respects and protects the intellectual property rights of authors. The use, reproduction, or adaptation of published materials must comply with applicable copyright and licensing requirements.

Data Protection

Authors must ensure the confidentiality and protection of sensitive research data. Research involving human participants must comply with relevant ethical standards and regulations regarding privacy and data protection.

6. Corrections, Expressions of Concern, and Retractions

JSE is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the published scholarly record.

Post-publication Corrections

When errors are identified after publication, the Journal will consider publishing corrections or other appropriate notices to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the academic record.

Expressions of Concern and Retractions

When serious concerns regarding research integrity, ethical violations, or misconduct are identified, JSE may publish an expression of concern or retract the article when necessary.

All post-publication actions will be conducted transparently and in accordance with internationally recognized standards, including COPE recommendations.

7. Readers' Rights and Access

Quality of Published Content

JSE is committed to publishing high-quality research that provides meaningful academic and practical contributions.

Open Access and Accessibility

The Journal supports open access publishing and promotes broad accessibility, dissemination, and citation of published research.

Reader Feedback

Readers are encouraged to provide comments, questions, or concerns regarding published articles. The Editorial Office will review and respond to such feedback appropriately and transparently.

8. Responsibilities of Editors and the Editorial Board

Editorial Oversight

Editors and Editorial Board members are responsible for ensuring that all editorial and publication processes comply with the Journal's ethical standards and internationally recognized best practices.

Handling Ethical Complaints

Complaints related to plagiarism, authorship disputes, conflicts of interest, peer-review concerns, or other ethical issues will be investigated fairly, confidentially, and transparently in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Continuous Professional Development

Editors and Editorial Board members are committed to continuously updating their knowledge of publication ethics and international publishing standards to maintain the quality and integrity of the Journal.

9. Research Involving Human Participants and Animals

Where applicable, research involving human participants, human data, or animals must comply with relevant ethical standards, regulations, and institutional requirements.

Research Ethics Approval

Authors are responsible for obtaining approval from appropriate ethics committees or institutional review boards when required and should provide relevant information regarding ethical approval.

Informed Consent

For research involving human participants, authors must ensure that informed consent has been obtained and that participants' privacy and confidentiality are adequately protected.

Animal Research

Research involving animals must follow internationally recognized guidelines for ethical treatment and animal welfare. Authors should provide information regarding ethical approval and animal care procedures where applicable.

10. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted Tools

Authors may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools or AI-assisted technologies during manuscript preparation only in a responsible and transparent manner.

AI tools cannot be listed as authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the content, accuracy, integrity, or ethical aspects of a manuscript.

Authors remain fully responsible for verifying the accuracy of all information, references, data analysis, interpretations, and conclusions presented in manuscripts prepared with AI assistance.

Any use of AI tools that has substantially contributed to manuscript preparation, including content generation, data analysis, or language improvement, should be appropriately disclosed.

11. Data Availability and Research Transparency

Authors should provide sufficient information to enable verification and reproducibility of their research findings.

Where appropriate, authors are encouraged to make research data, materials, and relevant methodologies available to readers, subject to ethical, legal, and confidentiality requirements.

Authors are encouraged to include a Data Availability Statement indicating whether the data supporting the findings of the study are available and how they can be accessed.

12. Appeals and Complaints

Authors have the right to appeal editorial decisions if they believe that the decision was based on inappropriate evaluation, factual errors, or procedural issues.

Appeals and complaints regarding manuscript handling, peer review, editorial decisions, or ethical concerns should be submitted to the Editorial Office with clear explanations and supporting information.

All appeals and complaints will be reviewed fairly, confidentially, and transparently in accordance with COPE guidelines.
