The Journal of Science and Education (JSE), published by the University of Education, Hue University, is an academic journal officially established under License No. 05/GP-BVHTT issued by the Ministry of Culture and Information on January 29, 2007. The Journal was assigned the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN 1859-1612) by the National Center for Science and Technology Information under the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam. Subsequently, it was granted a print media operation license under Decision No. 1788/GP-BTTTT dated September 28, 2012 by the Ministry of Information and Communications. On April 10, 2025, the Journal was further licensed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to operate both as a print journal and an electronic journal.

The Journal of Science and Education, University of Education, Hue University, is a multidisciplinary academic journal that publishes scientific research conducted by lecturers, researchers, postgraduate students, and undergraduate students. It also serves as a scholarly forum for the exchange of academic ideas and research findings among domestic and international scholars. The Journal welcomes original scientific contributions and innovative research in the fields of Natural Sciences and Technology, Social Sciences and Humanities, Educational Sciences, and other related disciplines. Applying a double-blind peer-review process, the Journal publishes both original research articles and review articles in Vietnamese and English.

• April: Journal of Science and Education – Natural Sciences and Technology
• June: Journal of Science and Education – Social Sciences and Humanities
• August: Journal of Science and Education – Educational Sciences
• December: Journal of Science and Education – Special Issue

Currently, publications in the Journal are recognized for academic credit by the relevant disciplinary and interdisciplinary councils under the State Council for Professorship of Vietnam, including:

• Educational Sciences: 0.5 point (since 2016)
• Literature: 0.5 point (since 2016)
• Mathematics: 0.5 point
• Physics: 0.5 point
• Psychology: 0.5 point (since 2016)
• Biology: 0.25 point (since 2016)
• Chemistry and Food Technology: 0.25 point (since 2017)
