Abstract

Homalomena gigantea is a native plant naturally distributed in Vietnam. In traditional Vietnamese, it is used to alleviate back pain and fatigue in the arms and legs. Recent studies have shown that the giant heartleaf plant has excellent anti-osteoporotic activity. In this our datas, we utilized n-hexane, dichloromethane, and ethyl acetate solvents to create fractionated in order to develop a process for extracting sesquiterpenoid fractions containing purified sesquiterpene compounds. The results successfully established a process for extracting fractions containing sesquiterpenes and purified compounds, namely Oplopanone, 1β,4β,6α-trihydroxy-eudesmane, 1β,4β,7α-trihydroxy-eudesmane, and Bullatrantriol.
